I make things.
Things, that have no particular meaning and are generally, of no use.
They are just things. Paintings and objects and so on.
I make them because I’ve seen or felt something that amazes me and arouses my curiosity.
I’m curious to see what will happen when I work with a certain material, color, form or an idea.
I don’t look for ideas, It’s not necessary, there are more than enough.
I just have to choose the one I want to work with. It’s like coming to a crossroad; either you turn right, left or go straight on.
And I try not to waste too much time thinking about which one to follow.
On the way, there are a lot of detours and dead ends but when I look back, I can see how one thing has lead to another as if I had accurately mapped it all out.
This is what I do.
I learn by doing.
